Their start-up consists of telco professionals. Hence it was kept basic and very simple.
And I can't agree with you more. They should hire a QA professional with industry experience in order to implement QA in their company.Kalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02710650704110079525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-480676170138390472.post-89686879419659581042016-06-29T05:39:14.294-07:002016-06-29T05:39:14.294-07:00QA is a must for any company regardless of the siz...QA is a must for any company regardless of the size of the company. It may be a freelancer doing a project where all tasks handle by same person, Or a complex project where separate QA team to certify quality, you must have QA implemented in required level to be success. QA should add value to not only to the product but also to the process. Validation (are we building the right product) and Verification (are we building the product right) is needed to be done to any product to be success.
Building a wrong product (which doesn't serve the purpose) is useless at the end regardless of how great it was build. So QA should be implemented at early as possible to any project to add value to what you do. Discovering design issue will be costly to fix at later stages of a project. Verifying if the built product have needed characteristics and if the process followed is the ideal way, will ensure right product is build in right way.
For a start up, you may not need to have a full QA team, but it will definitely need to implement and adopt QA concepts at the earliest stage to become success. When a company grows if it has implemented the concepts of QA at early stage it will be easier to them to add more complex QA practices to the process rather than think of QA after really messed up.
Hiring a good QA consultant will not a waste for a start-up at early stage.

Some misconception are: QA need to be handle by a separate QA team, its a fancy customer requirement for large projects, QA is a barrier to deliver a product, Having QA will pass the responsibility and burden of quality of a product.

Having a separate QA team will be beneficial since non-bias gate keeping will ensure consistent quality, for smooth operation and confidence.A QA guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08265474034015991482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-480676170138390472.post-9627840833528817812016-06-29T03:24:15.233-07:002016-06-29T03:24:15.233-07:00Very good article Kal!!!
